Anonymous asked: What are your feelings on Henry VIII as King?

Dear Anonymous,

I respected my father greatly as a king. He made all the right decisions in most regards. However I will confess I was not overjoyed with his decision to leave the Catholic faith and my mother.

I do hope this has answered your question.

• Ladies and gentleman of the court,

I shall be absent until after Christmastide, as I shall be joining in the festivities of the court. For that reason I shall not be able to answer your questions for a few days.

However, you are most welcome to place any inquiries you may have here to be answered upon my return.

With much regards,

Lady Mary Tudor.

Anonymous asked: I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for what you went through growing up. Parents divorcing are bad enough, even worse when it becomes a matter of international uproar and the dividing of your faith. For what it might be worth, coming from just one person, I think you played the hand you were dealt with admirably, Your Highness.

Dear Anonymous,

I thank you kindly for your comments. My good mother, and her dignity throughout those unfortunate times, gave me the strength to go through what followed. What would normally have been a private family affair divided our entire nation and pulled England away from the true faith. Before I get too out of hand, I shall thank you again for your kind words. I hope that you have never experienced the separation of parents. And if you have, I hope you carried on like a queen, or king.

With much kindness,

Mary Tudor

Anonymous asked: What were some of the things you wanted to accomplish as monarch? What of those did you get to do?

Dear Anonymous,

My first wish was to return my beloved country back to the true church, no matter the cost. It was my mother’s dear wish that England remain faithful to his Holiness the Pope and the Catholic church, which as you know was severed by my father due to the influence of Lady Anne Boleyn. Ah, forgive me, I digress. By history, it is clear that I did return England to the Catholic faith, however that did not last after my reign ended.

I hope this has answered your question.

ask-annethequeen-deactivated201 asked: Dear Mary; do you, even now, consider me to be nothing more than a whore? Or will you at last accept me as the true Queen of England?

Lady Anne, this question is more difficult than you think to answer. I will keep my answer quite brief. Yes, I see you as a queen, in respect for my father’s wishes. But my dear mother will always remain the true queen in my heart, and in the eyes of God.

ask-edward-vi-deactivated201204 asked: My dearest sister, how wonderful it is to see you at court again! I hope you are in good health and enjoying your stay? Perhaps you and Elizabeth would like to join me soon to go out riding if the weather allows?

It is wonderful to see you again, dear brother. I most certainly remain in good health, and I pray that you are the same. I would certainly enjoy it very much to go out riding with you and our sister.

ask-catherine-parr asked: That is indeed strange, usually this court is buzzing with gossip. In due time, I suppose, we will both learn what has happened.

Yes, it is quite strange. But eventually all events of the court will become known. They always do.
